The goals of the Mattawa Area Youth Golf Association (MAYGA) are to teach youth about: personal discipline, concentration, patience, responsibility, respect and other necessary life skills that make for healthy, successful adults.

Golf teaches many things - from athletic skills to skills for interpersonal communication. Golf does not require unusual size, speed, or strength for excellence yet the golf course is a great environment to show children some of life's values. Golf also comes equipped with a built-in code of ethics to live by on and off the course.
